Studio MM Residency – Open Studio

I will be presenting a new body of work in the culmination of a four month residency at Galerie Martin Mertens, Berlin.

Influenced by the architecture of the city and its vibrant art scene, the new paintings draw specifically from the current movement in digital art and internet aesthetics. This is exemplified through the use of artificial, fluorescent colours, and an exploration of branding, signs and symbols, considered in conjunction with the symbolism of Abstract Expressionist painters such as Adolph Gottlieb and Philip Guston.

Preview: Saturday 25 February, 6–9pm

The open studio continues until Saturday 18 March

The event will coincide with an exhibition by Julius Bobke at Galerie Martin Mertens
